This client is well capitalized, is growing both organically and through M&A, and in many ways they are just getting started, with their growth trajectory. Opportunity - This is a unique opportunity, as they are ideally looking for someone that has been either the Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager for a bank at least or near $1B in assets to step into the SVP, Director of Compliance role for the entire bank.
This role will manage a compliance staff of 4-5 which includes a BSA/AML/OFAC Officer and report directly into the bank's Chief Operations Officer. This is an ideal position for a compliance officer who is looking to become an executive but has little growth opportunity where they currently sit. Our client is not expecting a sitting Chief Compliance Officer. What is a necessity is someone with a high level of competence, technically sound and with strong management/leadership skills. For someone with those skills they would be willing to work and groom them to become a better version of themselves as they develop into an Executive Compliance leader for the bank.

What we are looking for in a candidate– We need someone out of the banking industry at either a compliance officer or compliance manager level. Need to be well versed in enterprise wide compliance and ready to take the next step and lead the entire bank in compliance. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has either directly managed a small team or indirectly led teams or projects.
Again, we do not need a sitting Chief Compliance Officer for this role but someone ready for that challenge. This position will report to the Chief Operations Officer who is willing to help groom this person so over time they can become a valuable member of the bank's executive team. Therefore, strong communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal skills in order to work with all levels of management is an absolute must.
