The Brand Marketing Specialist strategically executes against the annual marketing plan to develop and manage a comprehensive world-class paid advertising campaign to drive tourism to the Napa Valley. 


The role ensures alignment in brand strategy and voice across all internal departments and organization executions. You will be responsible for collaboration with agencies, vendors, and tourism serving businesses to maximize the performance of campaigns.


The right candidate is a polished, professional, creative and detail oriented marketing guru who understands the Napa Valley brand and has experience in tourism and luxury.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee execution of annual brand advertising media plan and participate in strategic planning and production.

 

  • Manage day-to-day agency relationships, setting priorities and executing media plans. Manage creative edits, insertion timelines and budget line items, with a focus on digital performance metrics.


  • Ensure brand strategies and voice carry through internal departments and liaise to fulfill marketing and branding needs. Oversee brand identity standards through all touchpoints.

 

  • Coordinate production of print and digital material, including presentations, brochures, annual plans, and other executions for internal and paid plans.  

 

  • Represent Visit Napa Valley and coordinate with partners to participate in and promote special events and programs.

 

  • Manage vendor relationships including research, advertising, graphics, and other professional services. Manage B2B email and stakeholder communication.


Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related area;


  • 5-10 years work history in tourism, hospitality or related industry. Luxury experience preferred.


  • Superior computer skills; preferably with iOS systems. Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Adobe Graphic software platforms.


Experience:

 

  • Must have demonstrated ability in organization, time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with strict attention to detail.  


  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills required.

 

  • Ability to deliver creative content in multiple mediums, familiarity with digital marketing strategies and channels. Ability and interest to grasp future trends in technologies and act proactively.

 

  • Management of $1M+ advertising campaigns, analyzing metrics and optimizing for performance. Adept at data analysis and conveying actionable insights.


  • Ability to think strategically, set short, mid and long-range goals, implement plans, project manage and perform analysis and make recommendations to key staff.

 

  • Creative, organized and detail-oriented. A self-starter with the ability to multi-task. Must display a high level of energy, self-motivation with a drive to succeed.


  • Creative proofing/editing, management of agencies and vendors.

 

  • Flexible; able to adjust to changing conditions and circumstances. Proactive, solution-driven, organized, collaborative.


  • Occasional travel, weekend or evening work may be required.
