YUME Sushi is currently seeking an experienced General Manager and key hospitality leader, for our Arlington, Virginia location. As a key leader, we will provide you the opportunity to be a part of a exciting and growing restaurant group, in an environment that allows you to develop both personally and professionally. Prior experience managing, developing or training on a service program preferred. He or she should naturally radiate warmth, and sincere hospitality. Strong leadership and strategic management skills.


Job duties Include:

  • Oversee restaurant operations in the front and back of the house
  • Responsible for all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties, completed accurately, on time and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Responsible for all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties, completed accurately, on time and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Manage all shifts, which include daily decision-making, staff support, scheduling and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
  • Enforcing safe work behaviors to maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff.
  • Ensures excellent guest service that meets or exceeds expectations Ensures that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs
  • Maintaining professional behavior while creating a fun, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere.

  • Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness standards.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • 3+ years of current management and bar experience.
  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
  • A passion to learn about sushi & sake along hands on experience with menu development and creative cocktail innovations.
  • Self-disciplined, multi-tasker with exceptional team building abilities.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Able to set and achieve financial goals.
