Purpose of the position


The Human Resource Manager is responsible for the overall management, administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human capital function. Specific accountabilities include policy development/implementation, recruiting, staffing, orientation, evaluation, training, compensation, culture/values development, vision/mission, and compliance with state/federal labor laws.


Responsibilities & duties


Responsibility 1 Develop and/or Maintain:


-       Company Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures

-       Job Descriptions, grade levels, and appropriate salary ranges

-       Organizational Charts

-       Company’s compensation policies

-       Company training programs

-       Company personnel recruiting, hiring, and development procedures

-       Employee recognition and retention programs

-       Historical Human Resource files, records, and reports


Responsibility 2 Execute and Manage:


-       Annual MBO objective setting and performance review process

-       Annual performance review process

-       Annual merit increase process within budget

-       Annual incentive plan in terms of structure, performance, and disbursement

-       Salary and wage spending within budget

-       Recruiting and relocation within budget

-       Company staffing strategy via recruiting, interviewing, testing, hiring, orientation, career pathing and succession planning

-       Company compliance with current labor laws and materials

-       M&A employee integration




Responsibility 3 Oversee:


-       Employee development, promotions and terminations

-       HR managers within the plants

-       Exit interviews and out placement counselling

-       All employee complaints, investigations and counselling

-       Overall labor relations within the company

-       Equal opportunity and diversity programs


Responsibility 4 Create and Support:


-       Implementing the company’s desired culture and value system via tactical pillars

-       Assist in the development of company vision and mission

-       Payroll Department with the company on-boarding system

-       Legal Department with Worker’s Compensation and EEOC Cases

-       Payroll Department with Unemployment appeals and act as the company representative in such cases

-       ACI Corporate with the administration of benefit programs


Note: our Company Legal Counsel will work directly with the Humana Resource Manager on most Human Resource matters.


Academic qualifications




Minimum of 12-years’ experience in the HR field with at least four years in a leadership role

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management

Master’s Degree in Human Resources
