Job Description:

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to own Accounting Operations for a growing, mission-driven SaaS company. In this role, your core responsibilities will be to 1) own all aspects of our Accounting Operations, 2) serve as a thought partner to the CEO and rest of the leadership team, 3) own management of our internal accounting systems, and 4) uphold Foothold’s core values, which are Mission-Driven, Respect, Collaboration, Work-Life Balance, and Integrity.


The Accounting Manager will report directly to the CEO, and will be able to take on significant responsibility and leadership opportunities quickly. 


Responsibilities:


Completely own all aspects of our Accounting Operations

  • Manage Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Collections (including all customer-facing communication regarding invoices and payment)
  • Manage Payables, Payroll, and Credit Card Management
  • Manage our three financial statements
  • Manage monthly close process and deliver the monthly reporting packages by the 20th of each month
  • Establish effective internal controls and manage technical accounting functions (audit, tax, cash management)
  • Own the miscellaneous Accounting/Finance tasks that inevitably pop up at a growing SaaS company


Serve as a trusted thought partner to the CEO and rest of the leadership team

  • Assist in preparation of quarterly board deck materials
  • Provide guidance to the CEO and the rest of the leadership team based on thoughtful, data driven analysis
  • Lead our annual budgeting process, in tandem with the CEO
  • Own internal KPI dashboards


Own all Accounting Systems and lead internal system transitions

  • Maintain ownership over our Intacct database
  • Maintain ownership over our Bill.com database
  • Maintain financial records within our Salesforce database
  • Lead internal HR/Finance system transitions 
  • Manage internal HR processes and our relationship with our 3rd party benefits administrator, TriNet

Experience:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related program
  • 3+ years of GL experience with increasing responsibility, preferably at a rapidly growing tech company
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience is a plus, but not required
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting and experience with the audit process
  • Proficient at complex financial modeling and budgeting
  • Must have strong Excel skills, including report creation, report formatting, charting, and use of common financial functions (index/match, vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables)
  • Experience working with a SaaS or related technology product
  • Experience with Intacct - particularly the contracts module
  • Experience with our other internal systems (Bill.com, TriNet, Salesforce) is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with M&A is a plus, but not required
  • CPA is a plus, but not required
