The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of the corporate infrastructure, ensuring the availability and consistent performance of email, servers and workstations, networking equipment, storage equipment, internet access, and file sharing.

The position will perform high-level network support, design and analysis with strong customer-service based aptitude. This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment and maintain a high level of professionalism, courtesy, customer service, and ethics.


Job Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  • Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of network administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Operating Systems, DNS/DHCP, load balancers, network file servers, applicable software, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Must be proficient in Cloud Infrastructure platforms and understand compute, storage, network, and virtualization derivatives; must have the ability to solve infrastructure issues.
  • Third level support for all technical issues.
  • Assists with hardware and software rollout projects.
  • Support data center facility/services and proactively monitor the health of all systems located at the data centers and take appropriate action when required.
  • Remains flexible in work schedule to work various shifts if needed (hours of operation 8:00am-7:30pm). On call shifts required. Perform after-hours systems support, installation, and maintenance as required.
  • Perform server and security audits, maintain system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Good judgment and analytical skills; strong follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Create documentation for standard operating procedures, one-off installations, and end-user training.


Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or certification required.
  • 5+ years equivalent work experience in a computer-related department on the specific architectures to be supported.
  • MTA, MCSA, MCSE certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver license required.

Additional Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge/experience in network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux and Mac.
  • In-depth experience with scripting with PowerShell, VBS, or Batch/Windows Shell.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with virtualization using VMWare or Hyper-V required.
  • Understanding of Citrix XenApp or Citrix Netscaler experience preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, security principles, OS hardening, and client compute management tools.
  • Experience with Ivanti Landesk, SCCM, Intune, Auto Pilot, PDQ Deploy or other endpoint management solution used to deploy software applications and manage a large desktop environment.
  • Strong network and routing background required. IE: VLANs, Trunking, etc.
  • Brocade switches and Meraki/WatchGuard firewalls experience a plus.
  • Experience with Dell FX2 server architecture, Nimble/HPE Storage, and QNAP a plus.
  • Experience with Sophos, Crowdstrike, and Mimecast products a plus.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and self-directed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation. Occasional travel will be required.
