Dental Assistant

Registered Dental Assistants make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair.  To achieve this, the RDA performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.  Some of these responsibilities include:  preparing patient for procedures, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, assist dentist during dental procedures, schedule appointments, prepare bills and receive payment for dental services, complete insurance forms, and maintain records, must be comfortable with performing tasks in a computer.

Dental Assistants must value patient care as their #1 priority and focus, by playing a major role in the delivery of extraordinary dental care.  Dental Assistants are a critical part of our mission because they not only support the patient; they provide the Dentist with valuable assistance on patient procedures.  The DA has direct responsibility for the patients’ excellent experience while in the chair and patient retention overall.  Flexibility, analytical skills, collaboration, and follow-up are all needed in our dynamic dental offices.
