(GNC), the largest specialty retailer of vitamins, mineral supplements, sports nutrition, and herbal products. An on-line store for direct ordering and a comprehensive focus on patient health and wellness programs, including heart health and allergy awareness, oral and skin care, diabetes and weight management, successful private label launches, and effective promotional and seasonal programs.

Please Note: The jobs will be remote for the first 3+ months, but will be located in the Raleigh / Cary, NC area and will require working onsite 4-5 days a week.

Job Description

Rite Aid is looking for a passionate, initiative-taking problem solver that can help drive change and be a leader in disrupting old technology and adopt new cutting-edge digital capabilities. Position will be tasked to maintain information technology (IT) environments and services used by the entire multi-company, multi-location Rite Aid organization. The successful candidate will help drive consistency through quality maintenance of IT services and projects and act as a change agent by keeping the organization up to date with new technology. Rite Aid is looking for a team player with stellar communication skills that will provide feedback to the company on potential improvements and working with other staff on a variety of projects.


• Mature infrastructure as Rite Aid modernizes its strategic digital footprint.

• Collaborate in building new environments: cloud, hybrid, and transitioning On-premises to Cloud, as appropriate.

• Be a thought leader in designing and implementing Rite Aid's information technology framework.

• Maintain focus on efficiency and security across entire enterprise.

• Translate business needs to develop solutions from design to implementation.

• Collaborate on the design and integration of a multi-company environment

• Provide strategic input for IT planning and roadmaps.

• Developing architectural artifacts like matrices and diagrams and analyzing the viability of organizational and technological change.

• Determine and implement build-versus-buy strategies.

• Maintain and leverage deep industry insight and thought leadership on infrastructure strategy and its evolution within Rite Aid's large-scale mission critical environment.

• Interact with external customers, development teams within the business to work on projects, and senior IT management to help keep all IT assets running properly.

Key competencies

• Experience in integrating and converging large-scale, multi-company environments Experience with high-availability, distributed, and mainframe environments.

• Experience with CD-CI, Agile practices, and PaaS & IaaS automation.

• Strong skills in cloud computing; candidates with AWS platform are preferred.

• Background in Data warehousing and Business Intelligence.

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

• Background in project management, influencing stakeholders, and the ability to partner with others in thought leadership.

Experience and eDUCATION

• 7+ years hands-on Infrastructure Architecture experience.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is strongly preferred.
