Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the pricing and bidding of construction projects, reviewing milestone documents to price alternative opportunities
  • Prepare detailed conceptual budgets from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design and design development documents
  • Prepare contractual exhibits for scope of work for subcontracts, and direct information/documents to subcontractors
  • Initiate and manage entire bid process inclusive of preparation of detailed bid packages and assure accurate and proper submissions/proposals by all subcontractors
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients and subcontractors
  • Interfacing with field team by communicating deliverable and procurement schedules
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors and clients, and represent company at industry events
  • Perform quantity take-offs and aid in change order pricing
  • Implement all applicable safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs on-site
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company core values while maintaining a " value added" approach to estimating

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in Construction Management or Engineering requested or 7+  years of equivalent experience required
  • General knowledge of construction principles and processes, as well as negotiated/hard bids and GMP processes
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of estimating technology and tools such and related software
  • Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be strong in Microsoft Excel
