The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking an individual with bank regulatory experience and a solid understanding of the bank examination process and supervisory requirements for a quality control-focused position in its Safety & Soundness business line in the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit (SRC) Division.

SRC is responsible for supervising state member banks and bank holding companies within the Federal Reserve System's Ninth District. In this role, you will primarily focus on our Safety & Soundness business line quality control activities, such as workpaper and report review work, although the role will also include other miscellaneous responsibilities that support our examination staff and supervisory responsibilities as needs and opportunities arise.

The person selected for this position must have several key attributes in addition to having experience as a commissioned bank examiner. He or she must have strong attention to detail and be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and use sound judgment under minimal supervision. An ability to learn our examination and inspection procedures and Federal Reserve System policies is critical as a central component of the position involves ensuring that our final report product and workpapers reflect our compliance with established standards. Finally, effective verbal and written communication skills are important to assure clear and constructive recommendations for any necessary improvements to examination work documentation practices. While most of our Examiner positions require travel, travel in this quality control position will be minimal (10% or less).

Position responsibilities include:

Demonstrate strong working familiarity with our standard supervisory event documents and related policies and procedures.

Review, verify, and evaluate supervisory event documents prepared by examination staff. Assess compliance with our internal policies and procedures and sufficiency of supporting information compiled during examinations and inspections.

Describe, support, and communicate findings of workpaper and report reviews to Reserve Bank staff and management. Provide feedback in a constructive manner with a focus on enhancing staff performance and development .

Seek out and participate in opportunities to enhance skills, including assisting with System or Reserve Bank special projects.

Safeguard equipment, sensitive data, and resources according to the SRC Information Security and Data Handling Handbook.
