Coordinates all on-line leak repairs at an assigned customer site.
Position Purpose Statement
The Field Supervisor is directly responsible for the assignment, coordination, and/or execution of all leak sealing activities at an assigned customer site. The Field Supervisor oversees planning and preparation of all such activities to ensure they are carried out in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. The Field Supervisor also develops, motivates and directs site personnel in the efficient execution of on-line leak repairs , while ensuring compliance with customer and company standards.
The Field Supervisor reports directly to the Area Manager. However, the Field Supervisor interacts daily with the customer and must maintain customer requirements and satisfaction while ensuring that the company's goals and standards are met. He/She must use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to develop effective partnerships to meet mutual goals and objectives, demonstrating a strong ability to analyze data, evaluate situations and identify problems or opportunities, including likely causes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides leadership and supervision to Leak Repair personnel, ensuring all on-line leaks are repaired efficiently, meeting established deadlines, as well as both company and customer quality and cost standards.
Manages employee performance, ensuring employees have a full and complete understanding of performance/behavior expectations, and when such expectations are not being met, with the assistance of HR and the Area Manager, timely initiates proper corrective action/termination proceedings within established company policy and procedures.
Champions, administers and oversees the Company's EH&S program at the assigned facility.
Serves as the primary company contact for the customer at an assigned facility. Responsible for building and maintaining positive rapport with the customer contact.
Responsible for ensuring the company's quality policies, processes and procedures are followed, enforced and maintained at the assigned facility.
Responsible for providing direction and development to staff through various means such as performance evaluations, on-the-job training, corrective action, etc.
Responsible for generating weekly job sheet and ensuring that all employee work hours are true and correct, and turned in to Human Resources in a timely fashion.
Responsible for submitting all required paperwork to the corporate office in an accurate and timely manner.
Works closely with Purchasing to ensure that the site has all the necessary tools, equipment, and resources to effectively carry out the job.
As warranted, performs basic on-line repairs including drill and taps, adjusting, packings, bonnets, flanges, thread leaks and connectors.
May perform advanced repairs such as fabrication, measuring and installation, valve repacking, etc.
Records repair information for on-site programs.
Obtains the proper work permits to perform work in operating areas.
Completes daily work sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Directly supervises 1 - 10 (depending on site, etc.) employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one (1) year leak-sealing, pipe fitting or valve repair experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:
Basic PC skills with particular emphasis on MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and outlook.
Experience entering data into a SharePoint web portal is preferred.

Must be willing/able to don respiratory protection equipment for extended periods of time.
Ability to read and use measuring equipment. Ex.( steel tape, verniers, and calipers).
Must be reliable/dependable with reliable transportation.
Ability to climb and work at heights up to 300ft.
Extensive walking required.
Must be willing/able to work at moderate to high levels of physical exertion for extended periods.
Must be willing/able to work in inclement weather conditions (extreme heat/cold).
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
Mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities are a must.
Prior experience in chemical plants or refineries.
