In this role you will Install, troubleshoot, and repair CBI and similar equipment by direction of CBI. Provide phone support to same as needed. Provide technical training to peers, CSR's and FST 's


  • Provide both on-site and phone technical support to CBI's installed customer base via the following activities:
  • Installing, aligning, balancing of new equipment.
  • Fitting, welding, machining, and repairing equipment as necessary in the field.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and hydraulic system problems.
  • Operate CBI provided service vehicles in a responsible manner, follow all Federal Motor Carrier requirements, and maintain proper licensures.
  • Perform Start Up Training of operators and maintenance personnel. Obtain required sign-off documents and return to CBI.
  • Provide technical support to the Sales Department on demonstrations, customer visits and conference calls.
  • Maintain accurate reports and tool truck inventory: perform scheduled cycle counts and reconcile all discrepancies.
  • Maintain consistent, current communication with CBI's Service Department on whereabouts and schedule.
  • Lead and assist in making contacts with customers to solicit service sales.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all CBI equipment. Training sessions will be made available.
  • Provide technical training to newly hired Field Service Engineers, (FST's).
  • Provide Technical training to peers and FST I employees.
  • Always demonstrate a professional demeanor and appearance to customers and fellow CBI team members.
  • Other duties as assigned to assist in the growth of CBI.
  • Normal working hours are approximately 8 AM to 5 PM, M-F, however, customer support needs will necessitate longer working days, overnight travel, as well as weekend work when required.
  • Extensive travel is required; both domestic and international.


Basic Qualifications:
  • High school graduate with two years trade school.
  • 4 + years experience in large equipment field repair
  • Blueprint and low-voltage electrical/hydraulic schematic reading ability
  • Technical problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Good verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on positive interpersonal skills during customer visits
  • Good written communication skills
  • Highly reliable and punctual
  • Personal tool inventory: hand tools to ¾".
  • Good driving record
  • Current Valid Driver's License
  • Basic computer literacy: E-mail and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CDL Class B Minimum
  • Current Valid US Passport
  • Technical degree/certificate in Electrical preferred.
  • Electricial background dealing with voltage 24v to 110v.
