Contracting & Government Pricing Director

About the role:

This role is responsible accurate and timely submissions of government price reporting.  The role will lead the development of pricing and contracting strategy.   The role will manage the processing of our utilization claims, maintain the relevant SOPs and ensure payments are consistent with contract terms.  This position will report directly to the VP of Market Access.

Responsibilities:
  • Work cross functionally with marketing, sales, legal and finance to strategically align the organization on strategic pricing and contracting challenges and opportunities.
  • Execute, monitor and measure performance activities to drive appropriate GTN calculation and accruals.
  • Manage managed markets operations to ensure contract proposals get approval and are executed consistent with approval.
  • Ensure appropriate utilization for contracts is received, the correct payments are made consistent with contract language and data is integrated to evaluate contracts.
  • Oversee government pricing calculations and ensure accurate and timely reporting for all government obligations.
  • Evaluate profitability and strategic benefit of contract proposals and monitor approved contracts against proposal analytics over time.
  • Identify and lead mitigation strategy for all pricing and payer risks associated with product distribution, sales and contracting.


Required Experience:
  • Bachelors degree and 10+ years experience in contracting operations and government pricing.
  • Expertise in working with contract management systems and government reporting mandates for manufactures.
  • Working knowledge of relevant rules and laws, guiding distribution, pricing and contracting.
  • Product launch, specialty pharmacy and CNS market experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and integrate and communicate across functional areas to achieve organizational goals.
  • Successful ability to analyze proposals and strategically identify implications and risks of decisions.
  • T he successful candidate must demonstrate skills in analytics, influencing without authority, teamwork, flexibility, holding others accountable, project management and strategic planning.
