Analysis Technician IV

This Analysis Technician IV position is responsible for the inspection and analysis of field returned Cardiac Rhythm Heart Failure products. As part of the Product Experience Management organization, the analysis technician will analyze field returned implantable devices with respect to customer concerns, will identify potential performance issues with the product, and will mentor other analysis technicians. Work is completed in a team-based laboratory environment following lean processing and Cell Operating System principles. The analysis technician will ensure that all Quality Records surrounding their work are accurate, timely, and complete.




Position Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and test returned CRHF devices such as Therapy Delivery Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators, Implantable Pulse Generators and Therapy Delivery Leads and Delivery Systems.

  • Trains, delegates, and reviews the work of lower level employees and may be responsible for leading daily operations of a work team.

  • May act as a team lead and assistant to the manager.

  • Leverages advanced problem solving skills and understanding of device clinical function to perform complex analysis and identify new product issues.

  • Utilizes lean concepts to identify process improvement opportunities, prioritize them, present to management, and lead the implementation process.

  • Accurate data entry and documentation of information surrounding each product analysis are essential.

  • Must comply with all department policies, procedures and work instructions, including safety.

  • Writes analysis reports, drafts work instructions, and generates other technical documents.




    IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME:




    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • 2 year degree in an electronic, mechanical or other technical field

    REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years of hands-on technical experience




    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Proficient with standard desktop PC tools suites

  • Experience presenting ideas to business partners, peers, and management.

  • Experience using analysis tools such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and calipers.

  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with technician and engineering staff to achieve project or group goals.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment requiring adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Laboratory, manufacturing, or design experience.

    DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must possess analytical, problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated data entry and data base experience.

  • Previous repair/analysis work experience

  • Basic understanding of complaint handling regulations

  • Understanding of medical devices, their clinical application, and understanding of basic failure modes and relevant clinical implications

  • Contributes to the success of process improvements through active participation on Lean Projects and Kaizen events

  • Experience working in a Cell Operating System environment

  • Implantable device analysis, design, or manufacturing experience

  • Skilled at providing technical direction, training, and coaching to other technicians

  • Solid understanding of CRHF products and their clinical applications.

  • Considered an expert in at least one implantable product category.

  • Must be able to use computer & monitor to develop, review, and communicate job-related documentation.

  • Must be able to participate in meetings and conference calls and use telephone.

  • Must be able to perform detailed inspection of product through a microscope

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
