A Day in the Life


You will manage and provide leadership to the artwork development and technology functions within the Graphic Design Services department for the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group.  You will ensure the content, appearance, and quality of labeling artwork conforms to established guidelines and be responsible for design and delivery of all required product labeling in compliance with regulatory and legal standards, as well as management of labeling systems and associated technologies.


You will:


• Lead, mentor and develop direct reports to achieve high levels of performance.
• Ensure Graphic Design Services staffing is appropriate to meet all anticipated project requirements.
• Direct all tasks related to department projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, project team development, validation, budget, and process implementation. Projects include label creation and approval for NPD and sustaining products, acquisitions, and product transfers.
• Oversee the collection of information to create product labeling artwork for labels, lidstock, display boxes, and other printed items to ensure compliance with all department and corporate standards.
• Responsible for providing user requirements, testing, and implementation support for all labeling systems.
• Monitor label production support for all manufacturing sites to ensure compatibility of files and printing equipment.
• Drive project Gantt chart development, and tracking and reporting to all Graphic Design Services related activities for NPD, sustaining, acquisition, and transfer projects to ensure alignment with schedules set by the PMO.
• Coordinate resources and manage support for all corporate labeling related projects and initiatives.
• Interface with department peers, and middle and upper management within all functional areas of the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group organization to support the goals of the business
• Prepare and conduct annual performance evaluations and establish employee development plans.
• Standardize and maintain department processes and procedures to ensure compliance with guidelines and standards.
