Supply Chain Manager - EPC Contract & Procurement

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager is initially based in Anadarko’s corporate headquarters in the Woodlands, Texas and reports directly to the Capital Project C&P Director.

This position is responsible for providing C&P support for the tendering, award and execution of key contracts and purchase orders for the Pre-Operations phase of the Mozambique LNG Project for the main Lump Sum Turn Key (LSTK) EPC contract and relevant Company Provided Items including where required long lead equipment for installation by the relevant main contractor. This is a key position that will require a high level of hands on contracts experience. 

This position will be based at Anadarko’s corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, TX for 12-24 months before transitioning to the EPC engineering office outside of the United States and then to the construction site in northern Mozambique.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have ideally ten (10) or more year’s relevant contracts and procurement experience within the oil and gas industry. Specific experience and expertise in the following is required:

  • Experience in a lead C&P role on major capital projects, including drafting and formulating Lump Sum Construction contracts, and long lead Company Provided Items.

  • Experience in negotiating and managing tender process for large, multi-national projects.

  • Experience supporting Integrated Projects in either an onshore development.

  • Proven ability to manage contractors / suppliers to ensure value delivery to the Project.This includes managing contractual obligations of parties involved to ensure that all terms and conditions are met.

  • Demonstrated track record of implementing strong governance systems within the Contracts and Procurement function.

  • Ability to interact with stakeholders in a multifunctional team and able to accomplish directives in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform as a key member of a high performing work team in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently.

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to assess, prioritize and respond to urgent situations on a timely basis.

  • A minimum of seven (7) year’s relevant experience is required.


     

Responsibilities:

  • Manages internal customer and contractor / supplier relations to ensure service needs are met and act as liaison between all stakeholders participating in the contracting processes.

  • Identifies and measure project based risks, and develop strategies and negotiations for contractual issues that reduce such risks, involving Legal and other departments as appropriate.

  • Ensures contractor compliance with Anadarko policies, procedures and safety requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with Company’s Contracting Policies and Procedures.

  • Ensures compliance with Company Regulations, Company Code of Business Conduct and Anti-Corruption Laws, including the FCPA and Anti-Bribery Act.

  • Ensures services and goods are contracted at competitive prices, while maintaining quality standards.

  • Confirms compliance with current AMA1 Project guidelines and Mozambique laws as applicable to contract development

  • Maintains auditable files; including electronic files within Project required systems.


Education:
Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing Finance, Business or related field.
 


Certification/Licenses 
CPM is preferred.


Relocation:
This position may be eligible for relocation.


Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 10%.


Work Schedule:
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
