As a Pipeline Product Manager you will have the opportunity to take a product from creation and shape healthcare for professionals and patients around the world. Use your creativity and passion to lead the strategic marketing direction of our Aortic product portfolio. Use your product portfolio management skills to develop marketing plans and improve product offerings. Use your strategic toolkit to work on initiatives that drive business and personal growth. Drive analytics on portfolio management and play lead analyst role on project prioritization for the business.

The Aortic Business resides within the Aortic and Peripheral Vascular (APV) Division which aligned with the larger Cardiac and Vascular Group (CVG). The Aortic business is based in Santa Rosa, CA and its main products are stent grafts for abdominal and thoracic disease. The Aortic business is the largest business within the $1.7B (FY17 Revenue) APV Division.

A Day in the Life

  • Analyze current and future aortic markets and help identify key customer needs

  • Help evaluate potential new technologies/opportunities that are organic or inorganic

  • Scope next generation product development and generate communication content for new technology pipeline

  • Develop portfolio management marketing and promotional plans designed to ensure successful response from key customers and drive the implementation of these plants with local marketing and sales management.

  • Evaluate new business cases for fit working with a cross-functional team

  • Lead analytics on portfolio management and project prioritization - play critical role in determining the allocation of R&D spending for future programs

  • Develop physician engagement and relationship development. Cultivate relationships with up and coming physicians as well as current thought leaders in order to gather feedback regarding therapeutic opportunities.

  • Work with geography and functional partners to help identify physician-generated ideas related to products and services, and follow up with all parties to ensure a proper evaluation

  • Develop rigorous and robust market models for the disease states / anatomy under your jurisdiction.

    Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years' experience in a Marketing, Strategy, Business Development or Technical role in a medical device, healthcare or consulting industry (3 years with Masters)

  • Project Management experience

    Nice to Have:

  • MBA or Masters

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • Understanding of Aortic therapies and/or the clinical environment would be helpful

  • Experience developing and implementing marketing plans across geographies and product lines and customer types
