Job SummaryThe Pharmacy Senior Technician will be: assisting in the development of step-by-step procedures, sterile/non-sterile compounding and distribution of investigational and study drugs, as well as performs appropriate IDS cleaning/documentation, assisting in establishing and maintaining appropriate and easily retrievable recordkeeping systems for protocols, study subjects, drug inventory, manufacturing and dispensing investigational drugs. Makes accurate entries into appropriate forms and established recordkeeping systems, including automated systems.Also will assist in establishing and maintaining standards which assure the quality, proper storage, and safe use of all investigational agents and supplies.The candidate in this position prepares for audits of inventory, drug dispensing records and files by investigator or study sponsors. Will also order and stock investigational agents maintaining adequate inventory levels, remove and dispose of expired stock and stock from completed or terminated studies according to protocol guidelines. As well as cycle counts, Triage IDS emails/accept calendar invites for future patients, monitor visits, and temperature monitoring for room temp, refrigerators, -20 freezer, -70 freezer and any other storage unit as needed; report and act upon any excursion.The Pharmacy Senior Technician will perform training/educational functions; perform cross-functional and other duties and responsibilities consistent with the job classificationSkills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThis position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize.
