This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, close-knit clinic that values teamwork and camaraderie. The Otolaryngology Clinic provides a wide range of treatments for disorders of the ear, nose, and throat, as well as treatments for sleep and allergy conditions. The Medical Assistant will play an active role in the procedure room, working in close partnership with clinic providers on a variety of minimally invasive procedures. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, administering injections, and supporting providers with assigned back office responsibilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Bring patients to exam rooms and document heart rate, blood pressure, height and weightObtain patient history, determine patient needs, and prepare patient to see the medical providerProvide patient care during minimally invasive proceduresAdminister medications and phone in pharmacy refillsAnswer questions and follow through on patient inquiriesREQUIREMENTS:Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board; OR equivalent education/experienceLEGAL REQUIREMENTS:Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification in the State of WashingtonCPR CertificationDESIRED:Previous work experience in an outpatient clinic settingStrong relationship-building skillsPrevious experience as a staff lead in a healthcare settingFamiliarity with Epic EMR softwareSCHEDULE:The Medical Assistant will work Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
