OverviewOasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Electronics Technician to support the - Navy in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Electronics Technician supports underwater testing ranges, associated underwater and shore side assets, marine vehicles, designs, studies, equipment maintenance, and operations. Providing engineering, technical support, and services for its operations in the South Florida area of operations.LOCATION: Ft. Lauderdale (Dania Beach), FLEXPERIENCE LEVEL: Shall include Five (5) years' experience with the maintenance, assembly, troubleshooting, repairing, installation and cleaning of electronics components, antennas and cabling, telephone/telecom, and printed circuit boards, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, mega-ohmmeters, instrumentation amplifiers, radios, video cameras, monitors, and fiber optics.EDUCATION: BS Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is preferred.CERTIFICATIONS AND TOOLS: N/ASECURITY CLEARANCE: DoD Secret Security Clearance.JOB STATUS: Full-TimeTRAVEL: Occasional TravelQUALIFICATIONS:* Shall include five (5) years' experience with the maintenance, assembly, troubleshooting, repairing, installation and cleaning of electronics components, antennas and cabling, telephone/telecom, and printed circuit boards, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, mega-ohmmeters, instrumentation amplifiers, radios, video cameras, monitors, and fiber optics.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Functionally, the successful candidate will:* The Electronics Technician, Maintenance III maintains repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids), industrial, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices.* The successful candidate applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.* The Electronics Technician Maintenance III applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.
