We are working to build a truly groundbreaking company, and we want top-notch people to join us in that mission.JOB OVERVIEWThe Manager, Sales Planning is responsible for developing the Americas sales plan at both a channel and customer basis. Working primarily with the Category Management Group, Finance and Sales Leadership, the incumbent will be responsible for developing a monthly bottoms up sales forecasts and revenue plans at both a product model and total level. In addition, this role will work closely with the Demand Planning Team, Product Management, and Account Managers. They will monitor results on a monthly basis and continually look for ways to improve the forecasting process and accuracy. This is a highly visible role and expected to be the subject matter expert for all related Sales areas and responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of company-wide Sales planning. Including reporting on KPIs, analysis and management reporting cycle for monthly close, monthly forecast and annual budget process.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Create a bottom up forecast at the channel/customer/product model level that is used to develop our monthly/annual revenue plan and provide demand/supply operations with a sales forecast to procure product against.* During every monthly forecast cycle interact with Finance team to ensure finance input gets accurately reflected in each monthly roll up.* Provide high level insights and analysis tools to explain forecast changes and comparisons with prior year.* Work with Cost Accounting and Finance to ensure product models, costs and pricing are available for planning.* Participate in the long range planning process for the Americas business.* Ensure forecast deadlines set by Corporate Finance are met.* Lead monthly forecast meeting cycle to insure all inputs from our retail partners are taken into account.* Lead initial SKU forecasting assumption by channel/customer. From initial forecast mix/forecast maintain ongoing changes throughout the product lifecycle to insure forecast accuracy.* Work directly with National Account teams and counterparts at our retail accounts to review historical results and develop account specific forecasts which incorporate all promotional activity.* Create and maintain forecast mix by channel/customer based on historical sell in and sell through. Manage the consensus process/meetings used to develop these forecasts.* Incorporate sell through data from our National Accounts, Regional Accounts and Callaway Golf Interactive into the forecasting process.* Prepare historical data and conduct detailed statistical analysis to provide best sales forecast.* Communicate with Demand Planning team to review monthly forecast.* Work closely with Product Strategy team to understand overall product landscape within the America's region. Providing analysis on current sell thru/sell in to determine forward looking product offering and mix.* Review all historical data on a monthly basis to create a clean data set for future forecast seasonality.* Improve forecast accuracy by effectively logging and analyzing sources of forecast error and recommending appropriate action plans.* Consistently delivers forecast accuracy results that drive inventory levels as well as service levels that meet or exceed targeted thresholds for regular business, new product launches and promotions.* Ensure constant improvement in all aspects of forecasting processes that result in higher accuracy levels.* Keep informed of current best-in-class practices, processes and techniques and brings them into the organization as appropriate.* Continually review all product offerings at the sku level and provide analysis and recommendation on skus that can be eliminated.* Perform regular market visits to interact with retail sales associates and consumers to better understand current market conditions.TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)* Ability to analyze market data and channel sales data to formulate new and innovative strategies.* Ability to make fact based decisions and bring well thought out recommendations to Sr. Management.* Self-starter that takes the initiative to start and complete assignments without direct supervision.* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.* Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.* Expert knowledge of Business Objects, Business Warehouse or similar reporting tool.* Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Word, Visio and PowerPoint to perform analytical work in a presentable format.* Able to effectively work as part of a team towards meeting department and organization goals.* Experience in the use of ERP systems and SAP exposure preferred.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* Bachelor's Degree required.* Minimum 5 years successful experience in a similar analytical role.* Minimum 2 years in a management/supervisory role* Experience with detailed data reporting.* Experience working with a sales organization to achieve business goals.* Experience working within the golf industry a plus.Callaway Golf is an Equal Opportunity Employer
