For more information about Nuvance Health, visit www.nuvancehealth.org.ResponsibilitiesThe Hyperbaric Tech, under the direction of the Program Direction of the Wound Care Center administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Wound Care Physicians. The hyperbaric technician provides a high quality and safe standard for patient care. Communicates with physicians and staff. This position is ultimately responsible for the courteous, efficient customer care and safe operations of the hyperbaric chambers and supporting equipment.Qualifications* High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).• Maintains and demonstrates competence in BLS (basic life support)• Must be actively certified or licensed in one of the following vocations; Respiratory therapy, Nurse practitioner, EMT - Basic or Paramedic, RN, LPN, Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Hyperbaric Technologist, Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant.Language Skills:• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.• Additional languages preferred.Skills:• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word; able to navigate through the internet and intranet. Ability to learn internal clinical outcome database, upload photographs from a camera.• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Part-Time 32 hours a week- Monday-Friday
