Integrating the latest IT technologies and tablet based solutions with medical expertise within an existing clinical infrastructure is one of the key challenges in healthcare today, particularly in view of increased requirements for documentation and concurrent staffing cuts.

We are hiring a Senior Marketing Supervisor to play a critical role in supporting Cardiac Rhythm & Heart Failure's (CRHF) future in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Turkey (MEACAT) region. This role will focus on launching and supporting Paceart ® which is a system that organizes and archives data for cardiac devices across multiple manufacturers and serves as a central repository for a patient's cardiac information. The role will also focus on the tablet strategy across the region be it for LINQ Mobile Manager, MyCarelink Express Mobile or SmartSync programmers, the tablet strategy is critical to Medtronic's CRHF growth and business continuity in the coming future. The Senior Marketing Supervisor role will also be responsilbe for project management and drive on several other initiatives and workflows around Patient Monitoring & Diagnostics and will contribute to the division's strategic initiatives that bring value to the business.

This highly visible role will support & execute on product launches, including preparing the market prior to launch, orchestrating a successful regional launch, and driving market adoption with the goal of bringing various innovations to the standard of care. Partnership with the broader marketing team, sales channel, cross-functional and global partners is critical to the success of this role.


The highly motivated Senior Marketing Supervisor will be focusing on the following areas:

Paceart Optima System Support:

a. Drive Paceart Optima System adoption across MEACAT region by prioritizing customers and presenting solutions.

b. Support sales teams in generating leads and in presenting solution to seal deals in current pipeline.

c. Engage with Hospital IT teams to analyze and understand current IT infrastructure, integration requirements, workflows and requirements.

d. Coordinate between customer and US Paceart team to ensure proper installation and support.

e. Manage project and task coordination together with risk assessments and mitigation planning.

f. Work on customer need customization and workflow-development to optimize clinic workflows and promote evidence/guideline based practices.

g. Monitor acceptance and consistent deployment of entire solution.

h. Provisioning of maintenance and escalation point for regular support.

i. Receive and document product events reported by customers and field representatives. Request additional information as needed for complete understanding of the event to determine if event is a product complaint.
j. Participate in Paceart related product planning and marketing activities to ensure we are hearing and acting on the "voice of the customer."

k. Translate cardiology practice processes into a working IT solution such as heart failure pathways.

l. Continuously optimize clinical and organizational workflow to ensure Paceart Optima is utilized to the best capacity and is serving our customers' practice needs.

Tablet Strategy:

a. Drive the tablet strategy for LINQ Mobile Manager, Express Mobile and SmartSync Programmers across MEACAT region

b. Work closely with the SBU, regional IT and the geographies on tablet sourcing, setup and maintenance strategies

c. Set a roll-out strategy for tablets that are aligned with the local business needs

d. Set an asset management plan and execute on it for the deployed tablets

e. Ensure proper structure in place in each entity to handle the required operational and commercial work involving tablet management

f. Assist local teams in pushing adoption of tablets and assist in the training and education piece related to it

g. Become the regional point of contact for all tablet related issues and the expert for MEACAT

Patient Monitoring & Diagnostics, Infection Control and LVADs:

a. Support regional cross-functional launch teams and ongoing marketing initiatives to meet business and revenue goals of the Patient Monitoring & Diagnostics portfolio.

b. Support the expansion of currently launched products and ensure entities in the region have all needs met to properly sell.

c. Participate in defining and overseeing regional strategy development and execution.

d. Oversee inventory/supply chain planning including forecasting, allocation and inventory management especially for programmers.

e. Develop and grow relationships with key customers across the region.

f. Execute marketing positioning and messaging in alignment with broader portfolio considerations.

g. Partner with broader marketing team, geographies, education team and functional experts to execute on business objectives.

h. Partner with SBU and other critical global and regional functions to successfully transition technologies and solutions into the marketplace.

i. Monitor competitive trends and activities. Develop and execute competitive marketing messages in collaboration with broader marketing team and geography partners.

j. Gather market data and perform thorough analysis to equip business leaders with well-rounded information for better decision making.

k. Project manage initiatives to ensure proper execution by entity teams.

Strategic Marketing:

a. Design strategic marketing programs to increase penetration of existing therapies in under-penetrated geographies and partner with entity sales management and marketers to implement.

b. Identify, evaluate and develop new clinical opportunities for current CRHF therapies.

c. Leverage ideas and business models from global operations to develop our regional markets and offer new channels and services for therapy and care delivery.

d. Create marketing tools, messaging and positioning for innovative product offering.

e. Execute on regional market development and business plans in support of CRHF businesses.

f. Assess market opportunities across the region and build execution plans accordingly.

g. Define customer value propositions (clinical + economic) supporting respective programs.


1- Bachelor or Master - Engineering and/or Business Administration with a Technical/IT related specialization, Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Information Management.

2- At least 3 years of experience in IT project consultancy, management, design and implementation.

3- At least 5 years of professional experience in medical devices preferably in Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure.

4- Knowledge and understanding of hospital environment and general cardiology domain knowledge.

5- Experience in database technology including professional capabilities in SQL.

6- Experience/capabilities in process optimization and process consultancy.

7- Experience in sales/marketing in a hospital environment.

2- Competent knowledge of clinical infrastructure and healthcare.

3- Affinity toward IT consulting and some knowledge of SQL preferable.

4- Excellent organizational skills and experience in project management necessary.

5- Competence in customer care and support.

6- Dedication, flexibility, reliability & ability to work under pressure.

7- Strong communication skills.

8- Self-learner on new technology and mind-set to apply them on the field.

9- Self-confident, able to work with minimal supervision.

10- Self-motivated, proactive, energetic and positive.

11- Team player.

12- Fluency in English is a must, Arabic a plus.

Travel Required:

Travel in support of customer engagements and internal Medtronic activities approximately 40%-50% of time.
