Responsible for the overall global development, management, and coordination of all educational activities related to existing and future Renal Care Solutions (RCS) products, specifically renal access portfolio and development of training curriculum supporting the market launch of Medtronic’s Hemodialysis System (HDS).  Partners, as appropriate, with Training & Education professionals at Bellco.  In collaboration with Regional and Global Leadership, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Commercial Sales training groups, leads the development of RCS’s global education strategy to achieve business and regional educational objectives.  Accountable for the development and management of the financial budget associated with all activities.  Continually evaluates and measures the effectiveness of all training and education programs. Recommends and improves all educational programs based on measurable metrics and evaluations.

A Day in the Life
Leads the development and execution of RCS Training strategy including, but not limited to:
  • Develop RCS training strategy that includes optimizing content specific to current and future products in the renal access portfolio and in support of the HDS launch.
  • Align the RCS training strategy with Regional and Global stakeholders that include regional training teams, to achieve business and regional educational objectives.
  • Collaborate with Training and Education partners at Bellco to implement best practices across the business.
  • Work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) to develop objectives, agendas and strategies.
  • Support RCS marketing teams in the development of targeted disease state and/or product training to promote therapy adoption.
  • Develop internal training programs to advance the knowledge base of the disease state within the business.
  • Determine optimal training curriculum and effectiveness checks for HDS, both in-center and in the home setting.
  • Support Marketing in product launch execution incorporating best practices for training.
  • Assess field support and supplement field training initiatives as appropriate.
  • Create training modules using various approaches to facilitate learning (on-line modules, iPAD curriculum, product/machine simulation).
  • Facilitate the review and approval of all training curriculum through the appropriate systems.
  • Manage regional and global faculty/KOLs that conduct RCS education programs, including contracts.
  • Participate in the identification, development and implementation of academic training center partnerships.
  • Ensures all programs remain compliant with Medtronic policies, AdvaMed, ACCME and other relevant industry guidelines.
  • Works with legal to ensure all contracts are compliant to Medtronic and regional policies and regulations.
  • Develop and supervise a process to measure effectiveness of all training programs.
  • Develops relationships with key societies within the region in order to establish and promote RCS education guidelines in the region.
  • Support regulatory submissions such as training plans and as applicable, provide subject matter expert review of contents as applicable.
  • Create, analyze and manage fiscal year budgets for all educational programs.
  • Communicate availability of training initiatives and progress on those initiatives under development to key regional and global stakeholders on a regular basis.
