Overview The Health Services Director is required to effectively manage, direct, and administer the nursing department in accordance with company policies and procedures, standard nursing practices, and governmental regulations so as to maintain quality care for all residents and a positive working environment for all staff. This is a full time position requiring the employee to work forty or more hours each week, with on call responsibilities as well. Ensures World Class Service Excellence Ensures World Class Quality Excellence Ensures World Class Compliance Excellence Ensures World Class RAI Excellence Ensures World Class Expense Management Leadership Focus Build and sustain an ILEE culture around the community's purpose, Guiding Virtues, and ILEE mission statement. "Stay in Character" while performing duties and interacting with customers and staff. Train and develop nursing staff and custodial staff, using the ILEE Way to Lead Network with community partners and referral sources to establish a positive reputation in the community, build a foundation for referrals, and sustain growth at all communities. Employee Focus Ensures all nursing staff is effectively trained. Ensures all nursing staff is properly hired and oriented. Work with the community's Retention Committee to ensure very high nursing retention rates. Effectively and appropriately coach, challenge, and inspire nursing staff and hold them accountable for performance excellence. Qualifications Education and Experience: Operators' License in the State of Kansas Current Kansas state nursing license Fluent in Spanish is preferred BSN/RN Three or more years of managerial experience in a nursing facility, preferably Home Plus Experience. Skills: Employee must be able to perform in such a way to build good working habits & relationships among the staff that they manage as well as other departmental staff. This is a supervisory position. Employee is required to handle employees in a manner that assists them in their ability to function effectively. Employee must demonstrate on an ongoing basis the ability to develop & maintain good working relationships with co-workers & other departments.
