IBA is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) interested in supporting the Operations, Maintenance and Enhancement of an E-Commerce System to support IBA's DoD client located in Aurora, Colorado. The DBA will maintain and administer E-Commerce database structures, database content, Database Management System (DBMS) software instances and schemas, and database configurations to ensure that E-Commerce database functionality supports application functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze database requirements of assigned projects.
  • Analyze and determine information needs and elements, database relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities.
  • Apply knowledge of database management systems to coordinate maintenance and changes to databases.
  • Test and implement changes or new database designs.
  • Write logical and physical database descriptions, including location, space, access method, and security requirements.
  • Provide direction to programmers and analysts as required to affect changes to database management systems. Provide answers to database questions.
  • Knowledge of and ability to monitor databases and to analyze and organize data and apply new technology designs and programs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least seven years of experience to include Oracle database administration experience on a Unix environment for an application of the size and complexity of the E- Commerce OFF application.
  • Must have at least five years of experience to include Oracle database administration experience on a Unix environment for applications of the size and complexity of the E- Commerce MTR/PAT and Extranet applications.
  • Must have at least five years of experience to include Oracle database administration experience on a Unix environment for an application of the size and complexity of the E- Commerce Documentum application.
  • A minimum of four years of experience to include Oracle database administration experience on a Unix environment for an application of the size and complexity of the E- Commerce PRISM application.
  • Must have at least five years of experience to include Oracle database administration experience on a Unix environment for applications of the size and complexity of the E- Commerce EDW application.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities. 

                                                      

Education, Certifications, and Work Experience Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field (e.g., computer science, engineering, and information systems).  High School diploma and fifteen years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Oracle database version 12c preferred.

Security Clearance:

Existing IT/ADP I Public Trust clearance level and above or ability to obtain an IT/ADP I Public Trust.
