BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will conduct organized analytical assessments and evaluations to understand and/or evaluate complex issues to inform decision making, policy development, system development, management, or administration of client processes.

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION

ANSER is seeking qualified personnel to conduct Air Force Mission Assurance Assessments (AFMAA) at selected USAF bases. Base tasks include the pre-site survey analysis, mission decomposition function, scheduling function and risk assessment working book development to integrate the threats and hazards, as well as provide training during the AFMAA for installation personnel.   

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Experience with ForcePRO and SharePoint or other designated system to receive, transmit and archive IDRMP analysis

  • Have Tactical, Operational and Strategic understanding of the application of the RMP, Integrated Defense and DoD MAA CONOP and MA Strategy Implementation Framework

  • Detailed understanding of the Joint Risk Decision Support Tool/ForcePRO automated tool for RMP

  • Knowledge of the Mission Assurance pillars and their implementation

Security Operations Analysts will conduct assessments of the installation/facility’s ability to protect personnel, critical assets, and missions from physical attacks and ability to deter, detect, defend and respond to an attack. Duties include:

  • Review protection related plans and procedures and provide feedback to improve the documents

  • Assess access control points against established criteria for personnel and vehicle access

  • Use the design basis threat to determine vulnerabilities

  • Assess physical protection of critical infrastructure, high population facilities, and critical assets using the applicable threats/hazards to determine the vulnerability and risk

  • Evaluate electronic security systems to determine if they meet performance objectives

  • Develop vulnerability assessment reports identifying observation/finding, applicable hazard/threat, mission impact, discussion of the issue, and developing risk responses

  • Conduct other assessment areas defined by the SME Benchmark matrix

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Advanced degree in a discipline relevant to the position plus at least 2 years of relevant professional experience; or bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years’ relevant professional experience.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Please note, this is a contingent position. 

  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance

  • At least 5 years of work experience in Physical Security, US Army or USMC Military Police, or USAF Security Forces

  • Ability to evaluate protection plans and provide recommendations

  • Knowledge of risk management concepts employed by DoD or Department of Homeland Security.

  • Understanding of Electronic Security Systems

  • Experience conducting vulnerability assessments in the Physical Security discipline

  • Experience as a headquarters Action Officer and/or Assessment Team member for focused on antiterrorism (AT), Force Protection, Emergency Management, and deliberate planning is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal/social skills

  • Exceptional written, and verbal communication skills to include assessment report preparation and delivery to multiple levels of leadership/organization
