Oklahoma City is a unique site to Terex Corporation in North America, manufacturing for each of the business segments: Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Terex Cranes, and Terex Materials Processing. Its workforce of 360+ team members is anticipated to grow by more than 1,000 over the next few years. The 100+ acre facility has recently completed an extensive remodel to accommodate the business' growth.

In the Hydraulics Design Engineer role, you will engage in all aspects of the design of Electrical and/or Hydraulic systems, including the creation of design layouts, detail drawings, schematics, routings, and bills of materials for new and existing products. Additionally, you will provide sustaining engineering support to operations. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D CAD models of components and assemblies, taking into account fit, function, manufacturability, and cost. Specific areas of focus include working with project engineers, manufacturing, and product management to develop new products and support continuous product improvement.


  • System and/or component design and specification
  • Creation of schematic diagrams
  • Electrical or hydraulic hose routing
  • System and component testing and performance validation
  • Production and prototype build support
  • Maintains awareness of technical issues and provides feedback to management


Basic Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree or Associate s degree with equivalent e xpe rience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience with electro-hydraulics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with mobile equipment controls and related components
  • Experience specifying mobile equipment components including: CAN-bus, sensors, switches, displays, drive controls, hydraulic controls, wiring harnesses, etc.
  • Proficient in design of systems and generating new electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Experience with vehicle cab and operator control station design desired
  • Must be familiar with researching and following applicable industry design standards
  • Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software (experience with NG-NX, E3 and AutoCAD desired, but not required)
