Position Description/Company Info:

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Training Specialist for our Electrical Wiring Systems Team in the West Hartford, CT location. This role will work with Training Manager and Product Managers to develop online and instructor led product training courses. The candidate will have experience in developing online and instructor led training. Candidate will be familiar with SCORM compliant authoring software for publishing online training modules and courses. Experience in creating engaging and interactive training is crucial. Strong organizational skills are a must and a self starter that can work well with teams as well as independently.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors in Instructional Design

Experience:
  • 3 plus years work of relevant Instructional Design experience

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Authoring and Publishing Software: Articulate, Camtasia
  • Web Based Course Development Experience


Position Attributes:

Main Job Duties:
  • Develop web based training for product introductions, (webinars)
  • Developing course outlines and course objectives
  • Publishing online training modules
  • Review existing courses on a year basis for updating
  • Develop engaging and interactive instructor led courses
  • Oversee the administration of Legrand University Online
  • Develop Training Tracks for New Hires and different sales functions
  • Work with MARCOM to mine user data for marketing purposes
  • Work with Training Manager on sales initiatives training
  • Work with Training Manager to develop National Sales Meeting training
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
