Materials Supervisor

The Global Material Customer Service Organization performs a variety of material management activities for large military customers around the world. Activities include forecasting material, aligning forecast to support customer induction plans, evaluating changing requirements and working closely with the Logistic Program Managers (LPM) for each country/customer. This position will require the skills and knowledge to develop material management metrics and analysis to monitor forecast accuracy, schedule stability and inventory management.

Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Ensure customer analyst functions are being managed- RFQ, Pricing, Order Receipt, Order Acknowledgement, proposal support , induction plans are up to date and vetted with LPM's. Critical parts and work stops are flagged and entered into SAP.

Manage multiple tasks / assignments as required.

This individual must support the departmental compliance to UTC Code of Ethics, Export Procedures and P&W policies and Procedures.

Candidate will create key process metrics reports required to manage Materials value stream. Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Access, Powerpoint and Word strongly desired. Knowledge and familiarity of SAP configuration management tools is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

Focus on Continuous Improvement through the use of ACE Operating System and tool usage required.

Candidate must have strong business judgment, strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate and work across multiple organizations and business units at all levels. Business relationship building with customers is key to achieving business goals.

* Education / Certifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field

* Experience / Qualifications

5-10 years relevant work experience. Self-motivated with the ability to rapidly respond to changes in customer demand and work scope priorities. Possess sound judgment and quantitative skills. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required. SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge required.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 5 to 10 years relevant work experience in the following areas:
  • Ability to rapidly respond to changes in customer demand and work scope priorities.
  • Ability to lead and train a team
  • Ability to create standard work
  • Travel required 10%

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SAP configuration management tools is a plus
  • Knowlege of ACE process improvement tools
