Pratt & Whitney Tool Support Services (TSS) offers airline and repair facility customers a complete line of aircraft engine tooling and engine ground support equipment (GSE) for all maintenance operations. TSS provides quality products at competitive prices, delivered in a timely manner. Our tooling supports all Pratt & Whitney commercial engines including the new Geared Turbofan for business and regional aircraft, as well as International Aero Engine's V2500 engines. The tools we sell are identical to those that Pratt & Whitney uses to assemble and maintain its own engines.

The Quality Engineer will be part of the Tool Support Services team reporting up to the quality director. The Quality Engineer is responsible for collecting and tracking QCPC data, managing, disposition, EQNs, SRIs, developing QSL and quality requirements for ACE. The Quality Engineer will be responsible to audit potential new suppliers and review supplier escapes. Quality Engineer will lead the creation of commercial support equipment specific quality manual and processes.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
  • Knowledge of testing and control of finished product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations.
  • Ability to analysis, research and development of structural engineering specification involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.
  • Ability to analysis of damage tolerance, durability, design allowable and structural modeling.
  • Knowledge of specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue, and thermal analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of regulations (ITAR & EAR) governing International Trade Compliance

Education
Basic Qualification-Education:
This position requires U.S. citizenship, and one of the following degrees coupled with the noted experience.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree (BA/BS) in a related field, coupled with 6-10+ years' experience.

OR
  • Masters of Arts or Masters of Science in (MA/MS) in a related field, coupled with 4-7+ years' experience.
