In this role, you will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of 2nd shift as a working lead.

A Day in the Life

Your responsibilities will include:
  • staff, facility, inventory assets, equipment and work flow during the second shift.
  • training, disciplinary recommendations, input to reviews, rewards, staff development, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • continuous improvement in assigned functional areas. This includes ongoing reevaluation of processes, layouts and equipment with the goal of reducing costs and/or improving quality.
  • creating reservations, creating pick lists, picking raw materials, posting pick lists and delivering material.
  • Work cross functionally with peers to develop consistent practices related to operations ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that work is processed in a timely and accurate manner. This includes planning for contingencies and ensuring material and human resources are available to provide uninterrupted support.
  • Manage emergency distribution needs personally or through staff.
  • Daily coordination of outbound load creation and contacting carrier.
  • Make proper notifications to Distribution management and internal customers when expected service levels to customers are not achieved.
  • Proactively notify management of any operational or resource issues impacting support.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks that impact revenue recognition.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy on processes that relate to visibility of inventory position and asset management. Work with second shift team members, production leads and other staff to minimize mistakes and internal escapes.
  • Ensure processes and training are in place to ensure physical security and safety of inventory, facility and staff. Ensure that work areas are neat, orderly and present a professional image.

    Must Haves - Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience
  • Experience on material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, wave rider)
  • Warehouse systems experience.

    Nice to Have
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • SAP experience
  • Controlled batch management, such as medical device experience
  • Experience in lean supplyl chain environment.
