With leading edge manufacturing technologies and processes and visionary leadership, First Quality is positioned to continue significant growth in the coming years.  We are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager-CapEx and Services for our Tissue Division location in Anderson, SC.  The key to this position will be a deep understanding and experience of sourcing and spend management processes and methodology and the ability to enact the sourcing process with cross functional teams.

   

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Has responsibility to pre-qualify potential suppliers, insure ongoing viability and qualification of existing suppliers.

  • Developing sourcing strategies.

  • Organizing and facilitating category teams.

  • Understanding and coordinating participant and stakeholder requirements.

  • Negotiating with suppliers.

  • Awarding and executing contracts.

  • Managing the successful implementation at affected facilities.

  • Establishing continuous improvement processes to maximize the value of these contracts as it relates to Engineering/Construction Services, Bulk Materials, and Process Equipment.

  • Tracking supply markets and managing key supplier relationships.

  • Identifying key tools, technologies, and services to improve the value of the category including:

    • Engineering feasibility studies and design services agreements.

    • Contractor construction services (T&M, EPC, and Unit Price Contracts)

    • Maintenance Services

    • Structural Steel Fabrication

    • CS/SS Fabricated Piping

    • Bulk Materials

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  MBA preferred.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in procurement of Engineering/Construction Services and Bulk Materials to support Capital Projects.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to plan lead, organize, and multi-task several capital projects at one time.

  • Strong computer skills including Analytics and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Good analysis and ability to work with complex data and information.

  • Good communication and facilitation skills.

  • Must be customer focused, team oriented, self-motivated, and results oriented.
