JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the European QEHS Manager for Sensient Cosmetic Technologies will manage 1 technician and will have as a core mission to:

  • Ensure global safety on site and pilot and monitor the implementation of the company's quality assurance and safety plan for products, equipment, investments, process... on all the site.
  • Identify the health and safety risks. Contribute to the implementation of a Health and Safety Management system in order to guarantee a sustainable control of the risks on site.
  • Check the enforcement of protective measures. Ensure compliance with standards and regulation or legal requirements applying to the site, in relation with customers, suppliers, authorities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define the Environment, Health and Safety policy and objectives for EMEA Cosmetic entity.
  • Ensure Safety on site by preventing any accidents with regular audits and establishing a strong training program.
  • Plans and develop with the Managing Team the concept of Environment, health protection and occupational safety according to the national regulations and the Corporate requirements; controls and updates it periodically.
  • Manage prevention plans and conduct internal safety audit.
  • Conduct workplace risk assessment and put in plan all related defined preventive action plan.
  • Represent the company to any interaction concerning EHS.
  • Reduce potential impact on environment by keeping strong Key Performance Indicators on any.


Quality Duties

  • Define Quality Management Policy in production on site with targeted Key Performance Indicators following GMP guidelines.
  • Ensure global site quality and compliancy with updated and applied SOP (Procedures).
  • Master any Out Of Specifications results: Analyze Root Cause Issues, Define and follow up Corrective and preventive action plan.
  • Define and maintain cross contamination risk assessment action plan.
  • Implement and / or supervise internal quality assurance audits.
  • Implement and / or supervise 5S organization in production with the production team.
  • Teamwork with Production, Maintenance, QC, Innovation, Sales, & Regulatory departments with the Cosmetic BU based in France and with all the other Cosmetic BU's within Sensient Cosmetic technologies.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • The position requires a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields with a specialization in EHS and / or Quality Management.
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of EHS and / or Quality Assurance Management experience is required preferably in the cosmetic industry (either raw materials or finish products).
  • In addition, knowledge of coloring ingredients and quality control is a plus.
  • Good proficiency in ERP system required.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office environment (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point) required.
  • English level @ Toeic >850


SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO and HACCP standards and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of French regulations for chemical production site.
  • Requires staying current with existing regulations and keeping up with changes.
  • Requires interpreting, applying, and relaying regulatory information to Board of Directors as well as production employees.
  • Ability to design procedures and conduct audits.
  • Ability to build and conduct training in its field of competence.
  • Strong root cause analysis methodology.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills required.
  • Strong communication skills required to be at the interface with authorities as well as all person onsite, including ability to capture the detail of a situation and communicate accurately, professionally and completely, verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of key performing indicators and their impact on business performance.
  • Ability to recognize problems, separate them into parts, prioritize them, draw conclusions.
  • Analysis also requires the ability to identify interrelating procedures, methods, etc., to maintain constant improvements of the job.
  • Highly positive, pro-active and accountable attitude.
  • Requires strong leadership at the interface of all on site employees, as well as strong team attitude.
