This position works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, and is responsible for assisting in the provision of patient care in a safe and effective manner from admission to discharge. The patient care assistant ensures prompt timely assistance to the interdisciplinary team in delivery of patient care which contributes to the patient's progress toward transfer and or discharge. The patient care assistant participates in quality patient care delivery, efficient patient flow, effective communication with health care team, and incorporates patient care standards into all clinical activities.

One year acute care experience or medical training, highly preferred

Basic computer skills and experience using EMR (EPIC) preferred.

  • High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
  • BLS required from AHA
