Our client is a manufacturer of high technology equipment located in an eastern suburb of Pittsburgh. Their products are produced in small quantities and require special attention for handling, shipping and receiving and we are seeking candidates with prior experience working in a similar environment, including international shipping experience.

Duties include:

  • Physically receiving component parts, unpacking materials, and preparing them for placement into inventory.
  • Matching packing lists to purchase orders and verifying accuracy of materials upon receipt including visible inspection for quality, item count, SKU, etc.
  • Entering information into the ERP system.
  • Monitoring stock levels on common stock and initiate reorder following standard procedures.
  • Delivering components to the warehouse and assembly area; move and log work-in-progress inventory and prepare and build kits of component parts for assembly workers.
  • Preparing inventory for shipment by ensuring packing slips are accurate, items are properly boxed for shipment, and all standard protocols for shipping are followed precisely.

This key position will allow a quality minded and detailed oriented individual the opportunity to work in a professional environment in our state of the art manufacturing facility.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control with electrical and mechanical component parts and assemblies.
  • Detailed experience with the specific shipping requirements of delicate instruments both domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to multitask, work with detailed information, and the ability to use independent judgment on the management of individual tasks.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to handle boxes, crates, small component parts, and large products for the purposes of unpacking, moving to storage, and packing for delivery.
  • Prior international shipping experience.
