Senior Business Analyst
The key purpose of this position is to be the liaison between the business and technical areas and provide systems analysis, design, configuration, implementation and support for Arbitration Forums applications needs. This position will serve as a lead business analyst on the most complex, highest impact and cost projects undertaken by the organization.
Requirements gathering (35%)
Work with Business Owners, Senior Management and System Architects to insure optimization of enterprise solutions as part of AF’s system architecture.
Captures and understands business objectives, measures and targets to provide traceability. Ensures target designs align to and enable business objectives.
Elicit detailed requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, client visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs.
Drive and challenge business areas on assumptions; question and understand how they will successfully execute their plans.
Analyzes current business environment to detect critical deficiencies and identify improvement opportunities.
Create Documentation (user stories, process flows, wireframes, business rules and other documentation to effectively communicate business requirements) (40%)
Understand and apply high-level requirements and business processes to creation of functional and system design specifications & workflows.
Manages multiple initiatives of extensive scope and complexity. Leads and facilitates cross functional teams on transformational objectives.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external clients to analyze information needs and functional requirements; write and deliver functional / detailed requirements & related workflows, use cases, user stories, interface mock-ups / prototypes, screen designs & field definitions/rules.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Deliver informative, well-organized presentations.
