As our BI Developer you will "own" the company reporting processes.  You will report to the COO and work directly with executives and other stakeholders to identify needs, manage expectations, and translate requests into actionable reports.  Business acumen is critical to understand what business problems the company is trying to solve and constantly refine how our data is presented.


Required Experience

  • 3+ years specifically with MySQL (5.7+)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to identify stakeholder needs and translate into reports
  • Ability to see the relationship between different data sets (e.g. marketing vs. sales)
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a "startup" style culture
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of the BI process without define specs
  • Tableau experience preferred but not required


Essential Duties

Project Management

  • Interviews key stakeholders to assess goals and convert to agreed project requirements.
  • Partners with manager to ensure agreement on prioritization and hold others accountable to scope, timelines, quality and cost metrics.
  • Report Development
  • Serve as the primary administrator for our Tableau BI platform: Define Data Elements, Document & Build Data Dictionary, Design data flows in WorkBench, Build Reports, Provision users, Create & Manage Data Extraction and Data Sync Processes.
  • Automates recurring reports from ETL or other BI methods into Tableau using linux, bash, and other scripts.
  • Create reports based on stakeholder needs.
  • Creates SQL queries
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • Business Intelligence
  • Provides consultation, research, and data validation to ad hoc executive requests regarding data accuracy and “what if” scenarios.
  • Render data insights, trends and patterns as reports, dashboards, infographics, etc.
