Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Process OF traditional tooling miscellaneous orders.
  • Process OF traditional tooling container orders.
  • Create CAD models from supplied information for programming/manufacturing use.
  • Detail individual components to create a working drawing.
  • Utilize the Baan system to enter jobs.
  • Interface with shop personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Design and detail slot dies and scroll dies.
  • Serve as back-up to all members of Metal Packaging Engineering support and Miscellaneous Engineering teams.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Comply with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to our client's safety and security procedures. 
  • Adhere to company policies and state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment, including promoting a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • Must possess knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing practices.
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Must be able to create models and detail drawings in CAD
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work to keep on schedule.
  • Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to use basic quality inspection equipment.
  • Must have the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team member to obtain desired results.
  • Must be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to understand and perform to job-related quality standards and methods.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations. 
  • Must be able to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to understand written correspondence.
  • Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.

Previous Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School diploma, 2-year drafting/design Technical degree preferred.
  • Previous experience using CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred).
