Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and executive management to develop product lines, marketing materials and sales strategies.
  • Manage product line, from concept to launch, on all new products and product upgrades.
  • Outline product specification sheets and documents with the sales and marketing teams.
  • Collect and verify data to prepare end of life cycle on products.
  • Identify areas for product upgrades and enhancements.
  • Research and analyze market conditions, competitors and trends in the lighting industry.
  • Evaluate P&L, BOMs to present to executive management.
  • Develop sales tools and sales training materials.
  • Conduct product presentations.
  • Support manufacturing team.
  • Coordinate inventory levels with inventory management team.
  • Support Sales and Marketing with product knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Support purchasing department with sourcing new components and pricing of raw materials.
  • Lead contact with suppliers both domestic and overseas.
  • Oversee product/production assistant.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • CAD experience.
  • 3 years minimum lighting experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a team environment.
  • Self-directed with sound decision making.
  • Successful project management skills and knowledge of the product cycle and
    product development timelines.
  • Strong knowledge of materials used to build focus products.
  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing processes used to build focus products.
  • Strong analytical, problem solver and negotiation skills.
  • Aptitude for systems and systematic work.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong PC skills (CAD, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Must have a track record in assisting in the development of innovative designs,
    procedures, implementing processes and getting things done on time.
