Job Title:  Accounting Clerk I

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the U.S. and Global Transparency team with administrative/repetitive tasks and special projects

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting the in the data clarification and payment search processes of Healthcare Provider (HCP) and Healthcare Organization (HCO) information to ensure accurate reporting to governing agencies for the National National Physician Payment Transparency Program (commonly known as the Sunshine Act), U.S. State Law disclosures, EFPIA disclosures and other potential country disclosures

  • Accurately associating payments to a unique profile ID in our database of HCP profiles, by using a look up utility 

  • Research and evaluate HCP data, including conducting internet research and other searches to ensure that we can accurately identify an HCP 

  •  Analyze payment transactions to cancel out credit and debit amounts

  • Special projects involving Excel spreadsheets, sending out e-mails, and e-mail management.

  • Assisting the Financial Disclosure team with the FDA financial disclosure reporting requirements

  • Search financial systems to perform and complete due diligence checks and Financial Disclosure payment searches

  • Review and upload Financial Disclosure information to the Financial Disclosure Database (FDD

  •  Assist with data management of FDD

  • Assist with preparation of FDA submissions (Section 1.3.4 Financial Disclosure)

  • Manage gap of missing Financial Disclosure forms

  • Special projects involving development of reporting and measurement tools to ensure compliance and data integrity of the reporting system

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelors
  • Candidate must be highly computer literate, very detail-oriented, have the ability to focus despite highly repetitive tasks, be prompt, self-motivated, a hard worker, and truly understand the importance of the work (all our work will be published externally).
  • A strong proficiency in MS Office products, particularly in Excel & Outlook, as well as the ability to conduct internet searches, and great communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in Excel (vlookup, conditional formatting, consolidating multiple data points)
  • Some background in finance (e.g. accounting; accounts payable/accounts receivable; billing/invoices, etc.)
