Job Summary

The FACT Manager is responsible for ensuring protocol feasibility, site identification and recruitment strategy. Works with CORE teams, to plan patient enrollment timelines for a limited number of clinical studies. Activities include but are not limited to: development of recruitment strategy and plans, protocol feasibility assessments, patient enrollment modeling, identifying qualified investigators, using innovative solutions and technologies. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Development of patient enrollment strategy for specified studies. 
  • Reviews protocols to assess protocol feasibility, study site allocation, site identification, enrollment modeling and strategy 
  • Effectively networks with Sr. Manager/Associate Director/Director to ensure relevant input to project strategies, especially regarding feasibility and patient enrollment projections. 
  • Conducts protocol feasibility assessments based on protocol requirements using various evidence-based tools, methods and benchmark data 
  • Uses forecasting, simulation, and contingency planning applications and procedures to plan the patient enrollment process 
  • Conducts patient enrollment modeling scenarios to project enrollment duration timelines 
  • Develops recruitment plan in collaboration with the Sr. Manager/Associate Director/Director 
  • Identifies sites using various evidence-based sources 
  • Collaborates with the Core team and extended Team members to provide deliverables 
  • Works with the Recruitment Specialist regarding site identification and recruitment vendor proposals 
  • Evaluates new opportunities for improvement of procedures and practices. 
  • Works with Director and peers to develop and implement productivity, quality indicators, and metrics within the group. 
  • Remains current with industry innovations and advances, as to include relevant advances and technology especially in the areas of feasibility, enrollment modeling and patient recruitment and retention. 
  • Maintains contact with investigator networks and patient advocacy groups to improve therapeutic area knowledge. 

Education & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or equivalent field. 
  • Minimum of five years relevant clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company/CRO 
  • Abilities to review/analyze relevant data so as to build evidence-based clinical trial strategies 
  • Abilities to design/develop effective strategies to bring about trial success, as defined by clinical teams through the use of an evidence-based approach. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing patient enrollment plans. 
  • Experience working with TV, radio, newspaper, direct mail, e-mail, online media, public relations, and third party recruitment agencies. 
  • Experience working with clinical sites, outreach programs, and other recruitment solutions to generate insight and recommendations for efficient and effective strategies. 
  • Knowledge of global drug development and the clinical trial management process 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities effectively ability to work in a fast paced and team-oriented environment
