Our client is looking to fill several Patient Service Specialist roles quickly! In this role, you will be an essential facet of the patient experience from the moment you communicate with them on the phone or interact in the clinic. Our client, a clinic with a prominent, well-respected medical institution, is looking for individuals that are soft-skills driven and maintain an innate sense of empathy in patient-facing interactions. The primary function of this role is to work both independently and collaboratively with the team in this fast-paced clinic to provide outstanding, empathetic patient service.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Respond and route inbound phone calls
  • Schedule new and follow-up appointments
  • Greet, check-in and request co-pay from patients within the clinic
  • Strategize and assemble insurance eligibility, benefit verification
  • Communicate information on medical center programs and referral agencies to patients
  • Process referrals and assemble medical records
  • Assist in a variety of administrative tasks as needed

Candidate Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in Healthcare or related environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and alpha numeric data entry
  • Reputation of maintaining professionalism, confidentiality and effective communication within patient-facing interactions
  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to document accurately in the EMR
  • Preferred but not required: EPIC experience, data analytics knowledge
