Job Summary:

  • The Business & Sales Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of Sales Operations reports and providing insight and analysis into sales pipeline, forecasting, and projections with the ultimate goal of improving sales efficiencies and effectiveness.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify sales and business information needs to gain insight into sales performance
  • Develop solutions, using Excel and Tableau, to address sales projections and business requirements
  • Continually innovate reporting solutions, streamline information management processes
  • Create value added tools that can be leveraged across the entire organization
  • Provide insight and analysis into key business drivers via dashboards, reports and support formulation of strategies and tactics
  • Develop automation for reporting, to enable the sales team to access dashboards and reports via “ self service”.
  • Document internal methods and operating procedures for diseminating reports
  • Provide timely and accurate data in support of ad-hoc reporting for other departments and from Senior leadership
  • Understand process flows and recommend data quality and process enhancements
  • Understand Sales process and leverage data analytics to identify areas in need of focus to the Regional Sales VPs.


Education & Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Business Adminstration (or related) degree required with finance/statistics/accounting concentration – MBA preferred
  • Formal Excel, Tableau, Oracle, and/or other data and database training
  • Business Intelligence (BI) solution exposure



  • 3-5 years operational experience with focus on data analytics and close linkage to business partners (specifically Sales)
  • Experience with database and data analysis technology, as well as with enterprise applications and project management
  • Knowledge of Sales and Sales processes 



Skills & Qualities:
  • Advanced level experience with Excel (pivot tables/formulas/macro/VBA)
  • Advanced developer experience with Tableau (custom parameters, dashboard filters/actions, LOD functions, blending multiple data soruces, etc.)
  • Experience with
  • Strong database, business intelligence and data warehousing experience (Oracle, MS Access, other)
  • Logical thinker, demonstrated ability to make sense of large quantity on unstructured data
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast paced enviornment with tight deadlines
  • PC proficient with various MS Office software applications
  • Ability to understand organizational goals and strategies and create tools and reporting that enable senior leadership to visualize the state of the business, draw conclusions, and take action
