RSS Staffing is seeking experienced candidates Extrusion Operator at a manufacturer located in West Columbus.  Immediate Hire! 

Pay: $15.18 per hour- Based on experience

Hours: Training on 1st shift, moving to A, B, C, or D rotating schedule


High School diploma or GED, preferred but not required
6 months experience require

Job Description:

Good machine set up procedures and practices including all necessary adjustments and operational balances to achieve maximum quality and productivity consistent with safety and minimum spoilage.
Quality and quantity of all production, produces by assigned equipment.
Have a full understanding of all current Q.C. standards and procedures.
Perform required duties needed without direct continual supervision, promptly report product deficiencies to Q.C. and production supervisor.
Making timely reports on equipment problems, quality and spoilage  variances and quantities produced.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the assigned areas in accordance with AIB standards.
Must perform change overs, start ups, preventative maintenance, lubrication and adjustments to equipment.
Ability to operate industrial equipment and obtain certification.
Ability to learn and operate extruders within defined specifications and without assistance.
Able to recognize heating/cooling problems with the machines and report to supervisor.
Able to start up and shut down unassisted.
Able to assist in " stringing up" on each extruder.
Able to perform Job/Color  changes with minimal amount of scrap.
Able to adjust die' s.
Able to monitor feed and mixing systems for proper operation.
Able to learn correct formulas and rates for product type.
Able to match and distinguish colors from samples.
Able to produce good tight rolls.
Able to produce each roll to correct width.
Able to learn " fire the screen" properly.
Able to put away in roll storage without damage.
Able to learn and understand silo readings and the material held in each silo.
Able to cut, gauge, and document " samples" properly and accurately.
Must be familiar with lock out tag out.
Must be able to climb if needed and lift up to 50 pounds.
