As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will be part of a small team reporting to senior management. You will have broad leeway to analyze problems, propose and implement solutions, and bring new ideas to life. You’ll participate in all activities pertaining to the analysis, design, development and ongoing maintenance of an in-house Selenium-based framework of automated tests, which we use to validate all proprietary software applications developed or used by the organization. You’ll work closely with other testers, developers, and subject matter experts to prepare and automate test plans, track automation result data, and align results with executive strategy. Major responsibilities include:

  • Provide skilled      input for plan, scope, schedule and implementation of test automation      projects and component level architecture within the automation framework
  • Use your      experience, both technical and professional, to enhance what our team is      already doing well, and also help us see what we’re doing wrong and fix it
  • Participate in      defining automation test objectives, strategies, standards, and      metrics 
  • Research and      discover areas of opportunity or improvement within automation, pushing      even better practices than may be standard in the industry
  • Support the      organization’s SDLC with analysis of technical details of testing, both      automated and manual
  • Debug      automation code at will within project deliverables, others’ code, and the      basic architectural framework 
  • Develop,      execute, analyze, and present automated test results across the IT      organizations, to everyone from interns to the CIO.
  • Track and      analyze own test results, take corrective action, report automation      summaries, and update statuses 
  • Communicate with      cross functional areas impacted by automation
  • Interact      with programmers and other business unit members to help identify,      analyze, and resolve issues 
  • Work      independently with minimal supervision


  • 3+      years quality assurance experience, developing and executing automated      tests
  • Strong      experience with Selenium Webdriver and other industry-standard automation      tools
  • Strong      experience developing using object-oriented code, C# .net preferred 
  • Strong      experience generating SQL queries including SQL scripts to create or      validate testing data - demonstrating a high level of competence and      ability
  • Broad      competencies within automated testing tools, techniques, coding languages,      and methodologies 
  • Experience in      designing test deliverables and architecture with maintainability as key      component 
  • Ability to create      component level designs for automation projects and architecture 
  • Strong      experience debugging code, both your own and other’s. 
  • Knowledge of      alternative technologies within automation 
  • Ability to      ensure software reliability and quality meet company standards through      automation and consistent automation processes
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills 
  • The      standard professional toolkit: strong communication skills with both      technical and non-technical personnel, ability to work      with minimal supervision, and complete work in a timely manner 


  • Experience      with both web-based and client based software application testing
  • 3+      years experience with an industry standard testing tool - demonstrating a      high level of competence and ability
  • Bachelor’s      degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work      experience
  • Health      industry & insurance billing experience desired
