What You Will DoSt. Vincent’s Chilton hospital is a 26 bed Medical surgical and ICU hospital Located in Chilton County. Our Med Surg is a private 20 bed Medical Surgical unit. It is common to have a wide variety of patient populations with multiple comorbidities ranging from respiratory, cardiac, sepsis as well as fresh post op patients. We also have up to 10 Rehab beds, included in those 20 beds, where a patient may receive Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Long Term IV antibiotic or Wound Care, and can stay up to 21 days at a time. You will be trained to detect medical issues before they become a problem, so that you can respond to those emergent situations quickly and confidently. You will have many opportunities for assessments, lab value analysis, patient/family teaching, wound care, IVs, medication administration/ management and critical thinking. Our average nurse to patient ratio is 5-6:1. Our staff work as a team to ensure the best care is provided for our patients. - BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 6 months of hire
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
