We are seeking to engage an experienced Network Engineer, in a contract position, to fulfil a significant role in the delivery of a highly strategic and complex network infrastructure project.
The project to migrate an existing global WAN encompassing some seventy plus sites connected via MPLS and Internet-VPN to the parent Siemens corporate network will be completed in 12 to 18-months.
The project involves migrating from a major MPLS carrier and will include Layer 3 LAN works and extension of VRF technologies whilst maintaining excellent service levels for network availability and service quality.
This contract position will play a significant role in the project including: Finalizing the technical design; engaging in network engineering discussions with existing network teams to make technical recommendations; liaising with network service providers; developing migration processes and procedures and play an active role in completing site migrations remotely.
Candidates for this position should have experience implementing and managing a large-scale MPLS network and ideally have worked on similar MPLS migration or implementation projects.
Your new role
We are looking for someone who is hands on with good communication and documentation skills. Experienced not only supporting but leading migration roll outs of Cisco network products.
What you'll need to succeed
Network Engineer experience
- Certificated in CISCO products such as CCNP
- Experience on CISCO products such as AS100X, ISR4XXX series.
- Hands on experience of Network migrations
- Fluent in BGP and OSPF routing technology protocols
- Network Monitoring Tool knowledge
