The Project Manager Associate I is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.  The skills needed to be successful will encompass computer knowledge to initiate contracts and to follow the progression of the job with correspondence, field directives, and all other documentation processes to complete a job.  In addition, construction knowledge is required to understand what is taking place during a renovation.

Safety - Responsible for overall project safety, and getting final approval for a contractor submitted safe plan, and compliance to the project safety plan. Includes compliance to all regulatory (OSHA) requirements, corporate governance requirements and Company ( FAM, SOG's).

Planning & Development - Responsible for the development, planning, execution and closeout of all aspects of the project throughout the project life. Includes project design, development, implementation, budget, cash flow reporting and maintaining accurate EFC's for financial reporting, and maintenance of all job files.

Contract Development - Provide support for the administration of contracts including scope of war, unit costing items, and bid alternates and operational constraints required for contract preparation.

Project Schedule - Responsible for the project schedule, establishing critical path task to insure schedule compliance, and ensuring proper man loading requirements of the contractor to achieve the desired completion date.

Client Communication - Responsible for coordinating operational constraints and job objectives to e her as to achieve as seamless a project as possible. Including timely communication with Business Partners, Clients and management regarding project status, schedule, financial and guest impacts.

Technical Competency - Technically competent with various software programs, such as CMIS and Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).Utilize project and contract management systems into the daily operation of the business.

Process Competency - Responsible for timely issuance of field directives, collection of costing concurrence memos, conversion to change orders and management approval to allow for accurate EFC reporting and timely job closeout.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills with familiarity using Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • High importance put on organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building practices and materials required.
  • Basic knowledge of finance in business (budgets, cash flows and etc).

Preferred Requirements:

  • Eight years in commercial facilities construction industry.
  • Some portion of years of service can be mitigated with education in commercial facilities-field (engineering, architecture, project management), or business.
  • Taking classes on building construction topics (MEP, estimating, print reading & etc).
