Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential sources for procurement for non-inventory production items and non-product produced domestically and overseas.
  • Ability to generate measurable cost savings on a continuous basis, conduct ad-hoc analysis requests using standard tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders for completeness, accuracy & conformance with established policies and procedures.
  • Confers and negotiates with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Prepares and generates purchase orders and change notices, undertake supplier visits.
  • Resolve and discrepancies with suppliers and forward all necessary documentation for invoicing approval and payment to appropriate department.
  • Utilize and develop basic order agreements with suppliers and monitor those agreements which cover the commodities they are responsible for.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and various stakeholders.

Experience and Skills:

  • BS in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited 4 year university.
  • SAP experience with purchasing and material support functions.
  • 6-8 years direct Purchasing experience in various electronic and mechanical commodities necessary for the fabrication of electro-pneumatic machinery
  • Industrial Automation Experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints.
  • Exceptional Excel skills, knowledge of APO, Business Warehouse, and Business Intelligence a plus.
